the first chiropractor on Long Island to perform MUA (Manipulation
Under Anesthesia) and to be admitted to the medical staff,
Department of Orthopedic Surgery, North Shore-Long Island Jewish
Health System, North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove, New
York. Dr. Christopher D. Skurka was recently appointed Director of
Chiropractic at the Long Island Surgicenter in Mellville, New York.
In addition to adjustments, each patient receives a unique treatment
plan that is tailored to their specific ailment. As Doctors of
Chiropractic, we are highly trained in the diagnosis of a wide
variety of spinal conditions which we treat and manage
conservatively. Chiropractors in New York State are licensed to
treat and remove vertebral subluxation complex. It is this spinal
